Aerated Banshee Gel comes from Banshees; it is not Goo and is not made at the Alchemist. Choose an accessible Shroud location, bring a ranged option, and keep the enemy above reachable ground before the kill.[1][2]

Choose a location you can reach and leave
ESO-UI lists ruined Shroud villages, Elixir Wells and Shroud Lairs as Banshee habitats. Its named examples include Moth’s Grove north of the Springlands spire and the Springlands Shroud Lair used by the Gem Forge quest.[1]
- Use a location within the areas you can already explore safely. A distant pin is not a useful farm if your Shroud timer expires on the return trip.
- Before engaging, find the exit and a patch of reachable ground. Avoid choosing a position that puts the drop above lava.
Solve the reach problem before dealing damage
The source describes a hovering enemy that can drift beyond melee range. Carry a bow, wand or staff rather than depending on the enemy to descend. In the lava-room example, moving the fight over safe ground also protects the loot; killing it over the hazard can make the drop unrecoverable.[1]
Add up the recipes you actually have available
Current item data lists Gel in Alchemist Apprentice Gloves and Hat, as well as Spectral Ward. Select only recipes already available in your world and subtract the Gel you have. Other ingredients are still required.[2]
This budget counts material units, not kills. Four missing Gel does not mean four Banshees: an enemy’s variable drops and a world’s settings can change the result.
Check the item before another trip
| What you have | What to do |
|---|---|
| Goo | Use the separate Goo crafting chain; it does not replace Aerated Banshee Gel. |
| Gel, but the armor recipe is missing | Check the crafter and current progression unlock. Gathering more Gel cannot unlock a missing crafting tier by itself. |
| A kill, but no reachable drop | Check where the enemy fell. Change the fight position before repeating the same approach. |
