Make Goo at a sheltered Alchemist with a Mortar placed nearby. The current data lists 1 Bug Dust, 2 Shroud Mushrooms and 1 Springlands Dirt per Goo, with the recipe unlocked by picking up Bug Dust.[1]
Work through the missing recipe in order
- Rescue the Alchemist. Follow the Mortar quest to Lone Thistle, recover the workshop item and place it at the base; carrying the Mortar is not the same as placing it beside the crafter.[2]
- Make sure the Alchemist is sheltered and the placed Mortar is available. Pick up Bug Dust to satisfy the current recipe trigger.[1]
- Open the Alchemist’s recipes. If Goo is absent, recheck the trigger and workstation before making another long gathering trip.
Keep the three ingredient names separate

Combine the Revelwood mushroom and critter-part outing, then collect regional dirt separately if you do not already have it. Return when the ingredient shortfalls are filled, rather than turning the trip into an open-ended farm.[2]
Plan the missing materials
Set the amount of finished Goo you want, then enter what is already in storage. The calculator first deducts existing Goo and only then calculates the ingredients for the remaining crafts.[1]
Example: a target of 15 Goo with 3 already made needs 12 crafts. That requires 12 Bug Dust, 24 Shroud Mushrooms and 12 Springlands Dirt before subtracting those ingredient stocks. This is recipe arithmetic, not a claim about drop rates or travel time.
Why an older Goo recipe can send you to the wrong place
Older guides can mention ordinary Dirt and Shroud Liquid. The current build’s recipe above uses the named regional soil and Shroud Mushroom instead. Check the full item names at the Alchemist; do not combine an old ingredient list with a new unlock procedure.[1][2]
